Why choose a caravanning holiday?
What makes a caravan holiday so appealing to people? If you ask some of the thousands of caravaners why they prefer this type of holiday you will get many different replies, but all agree it's the friendly atmosphere and relaxed lifestyle enjoyed in caravan parks that is so attractive.
Some choose to take their van to their favourite spot year after year, set up and forget about work for a week of two. Others prefer to be on the move, two or three days in one place and then moving on to experience something new.
There is a wide choice of caravan parks in all States, whether you are looking for a simple stop over adjacent to the highway with basic facilities, or a longer stay at a park with swimming pool, games room, shop etc.
As for location, many caravan parks occupy enviable positions, some affording easy safe access to beaches, others in National Parks, far from hotels or motels, where native animals and bush walks take priority over 5 Star facilities.
From the dry heat of Perth in Western Australia to the more humid tropical climate of Cairns in Far North Queensland, or the more temperate Bright with its autumnal splendor, gateway to Victoria's high country, there is a destination to suit everyone.
Even experienced caravaners avoid congested city driving if possible, so picking up and dropping off a van from our yard at Epsom (North Bendigo) makes your holiday getaway extremely easy, just a two hour drive from Melbourne, hook on the van and the open road awaits you.
The pros and cons of hiring versus buying:
If you are sure you like caravanning and you expect to use your van frequently, buying is the best option. However, if you are unsure caravanning is for you, or you think a few weeks a year is probably all you will be able to get away, hiring is the better option.
Other important considerations; modern touring vans like ours will cost you in excess of $40,000, a lot of money tied up that might be put to better use; depreciation; insurance; maintenance; cost of storage (if you don't have sufficient space at home) all need to be taken into account if you intend to buy a caravan.
Why not try a caravan holiday in one of our touring vans before you make the big commitment to buy?
